Chromebook install not working

But my Chromebook/Asus still will not open the audio files. It recognizes them in the app, listing them just fine, but nothing will open. I have tried these files on other devices with the app and they play. Just not on the Chromebook, Thanks.
UPDATE: still no change, files will not open, but upon examining each track details on a tablet and the nonworking Chromebook, the Chromebook app is not recognizing the song's BITRATE. That entry is blank. On the tablet where they do play they say the bitrate ie 128...
