Why does it say that you can use this on Spotify Podcasts When You can't?

I don't understand why there are multiple sites out there that say you can use this program to adjust the speed on Spotify podcasts on your android phone when you can't. Am I missing something?

Streaming services like Spotify do not allow editing of their streams through third party apps. Our Android app works on local files. If you download a copy of a podcast you could use the app to play it. Your sources may be referring to our browser extension, which is able to affect audio played through a Chromium (Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome) browser.
